Dean Holdsworth's unbeaten start as Shots manager came to an end at Priestfield, after two Cody McDonald strikes saw Shots go down 2-1.

There was some consolation for Aldershot, as new signing Alex Rodman, on as a second half substitute, scored, with a brilliant 25 yard screamer in the dying seconds.

It was a tight game....nothing in it until the 53rd minute, when the unfortunate Darren Jones failed to control a routine ball into the box and the lively McDonald nipped in to rifle past Young in the Shots goal. McDonald added a second in the 90th minute.
