Shots boss, Terry Brown has told the official club website that the return of Ryan Williams to the Rec had a positive effect on his side and although the former Bristol Rovers winger won the Man of the Match Award, he proved his worth by admitting that goalkeeper Nikki Bull deserved the accolade for his late string of saves that kept the home side in the lead.

A review of Williams on the un-official Rovers website, say's the following:

"Diddy Ryan Williams is the current darling of the terraces. No matter what he does he receives the plaudits.

A lot of what he does is really good, he can get to the bye line and deliver crosses with both feet, he tries really hard and puts himself about as best he can.

A cynic might say that he has to try really hard just to keep up with full-size players and that far too often he runs ten yards only to have the ball bounce three foot up in to his face and out in to touch.

Atkins doesn't think he contributes as well when he starts as to when he comes on as a sub. Which is probably fair comment. He's not really Atkins type either as in he's not a 6 foot fat bloke."
