Sky Sports name clubs chasing Anthony Straker.

They got it wrong with Marvin Morgan, right with Jermaine McGlashan and didn’t bother with Luke Guttridge, but now Sky Sports are touting the Shots defender as the next transfer target and naming interested parties as Watford and Peterborough United.

In an article today, Sky Sports stated that their source understand that both Watford and Peterborough are chasing the signature of the Aldershot player.

Although Strakes has been far from impressive this season, he is in a team of players who have under performed and shouldn’t be singled out as any cause for the clubs poor form, but all that changed on Saturday as he grabbed a brace in the clubs 2-1 away win at AFC Wimbledon.

With the player in the final six-months of his current deal, we’ll have to wait to see if any deal materialises ahead of the transfer window closing or if the story is just that, although local Peterbrough newspaper the Telegraph reported this afternoon: "Darren Ferguson has revealed that Peterborough United had substantial bids for two players rejected this morning (Thursday).

"The Posh boss declined to name the players or their favoured positions."
