Terry Brown has told the clubs official website that he could tell on the journey to Northwich that his players were going to give him a much improved performance.

Speaking in the match report the manager said, "It was evident on the coach coming up that the boys were going to give a performance today and if we didn't win it wasn't going to be because of work rate, passion and desire.

"I know that this team can play and that they can score goals. It was a big win for the club because we needed to keep in touch with everybody and we couldn't afford to lose.

"I have said to the players afterwards that as proud of them as I am this result will count for nothing if we don't take this performance into Tuesday's match at Forest Green Rovers.
