Aldershot Town's record signing Craig Reid, has walked away from the Recreation Ground for free after the players contract was terminated by mutual consent.
The player who joined The Shots from Stevenage for £75k under awful former manager Dean Holdsworth, has joined the Thames Estuary Galacticos for free.
The player stormed to a lightning start for the club when he signed last summer, however after registering seven goals by the start of October, his form quickly plummeted and he picked up an injury which made matters even worse.
Tweeting on his departure, Reid said: “Thanks to everyone at Aldershot for their amazing support through hard times and I'm glad to see they are now out of administration.
"I wish them the best and hope everyone gets behind the great people that are there like.”
The 27-year old has joined the League Two side in a one-year deal and TEG boss Phil Brown told his clubs official website: "Things are starting to come together and I'm very pleased Craig has decided to come to Roots Hall."
