Why join the Stray Shots?

We realise that many exiled Shots supporters out there will be asking "what's the point in joining?" and the simple answer is this:

We realise that in the current climate - money is tight for everyone, but rather than pressganging people to join - we're appealing to any Shots fan out there to look at the joining fee as a small donation to the club and if we can get enough small donations, then the club will benefit from your generosity.

It is going to be difficult to generate a decent membership basis from scratch, especially if you're not getting anything in return (!) so that is why we're bribing everyone who signs up this season with an exclusive Stray Shots car sticker as well as giving members the opportunity to use the Stray Shots season ticket at a discounted price - saving you money every time you watch The Shots.

You'll also be able to vote for your Stray Shots Man of the Match after each game - and one lucky member (picked at random) will get two tickets to the final home game of the season where they will be able to present the Stray Shots Player of the Season Award on behalf of the rest of the members.

Of course, for many Shots exiles over the last few seasons "membership" has been the chance to make new friends, to meet up with other Shots supporters around the country and enjoy going to matches knowing that you will see people you know and we won't be looking to change any of that.

There is of course the now famous Brampton Hotel weekender that, while isn't exclusive for Strays members, is attended by many of the group - including the "Torquay mafia" and we'll be looking at making this years Torquay festivities even more fun.

How much does it cost?

Right, we've given you the blurb, so here's what we're after…

To sign up to the Stray Shots for the 2009/10 season, we're looking for a £5 donation.

There is no small print. We'll save any money made and look to buy a season ticket for the following season (helping members save money once again) and donate anything left over as members see fit.
