Getting To Aldershot FC's "The EBB Stadium at the Recreation Ground"

Aldershot Town Football Club, The EBB Stadium at the Recreation Ground, High Street, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 1TW

By Car

From the M3

Exit at Junction 4a and follow the signs for the A331 (towards Aldershot). Exit at the Aldershot South junction and take the 3rd exit at the top of the slip road - following signs for the Town Centre. Keep on this road, straight ahead at the traffic lights (right hand lane) over a mini roundabout and you will pass Manor Park (on your left), then go under a railway bridge. The Recreation Ground is on the right hand side once you have gone under the bridge. If you're early - turn right at the next roundabout (Ordnance Road) and then first right into the car park. If you're late carry straight on at the roundabout and 3rd exit at the next roundabout and there is a large multi-story car park on the left.

From the M25

Exit at junction 10 and follow the A3 (towards Guildford). Exit at the A31 (Hog's Back) junction and follow sign's towards Farnham (the exit is at the top of a hill just after a BP garage.) Exit the A31 at the A331 (towards Aldershot) and continue on this road until the Aldershot South junction - taking the first exit at the roundabout at the top of the slip road (towards the Town Centre.) Keep on this road, straight ahead at the traffic lights (right hand lane), over the mini roundabout and you will pass Manor Park (on your left), go under the railway bridge.

From the A325

Exit the A325 at the roundabout signed for Aldershot (there are also signs for the Football Club.) You will pass Tesco on your left hand side. Take the second exit at the Tesco roundabout and go straight ahead at the traffic lights. If you're early take the second exit at the next roundabout and first exit at the next (Ordnance Road). Take the first right in to the car park. If you're late, take the fifth exit at the round about - returning up the road you have just come from (as no right turn in to the multi-story car park) and the car park is on your left.

By Train

The nearest train station is Aldershot. It is on the mainline service to London (Waterloo) to Alton line and trains run fairly regularly. The main bus station is directly outside (to the left) as well as there being a taxi rank - although it is less than a ten-minute walk to the ground from the station. To get to the ground once you've come out of the station via the main entrance, walk straight ahead on to Station Road. Take the first right in to Arthur Street than first right again in to Windsor Way (you should be able to see the floodlights by now). Continue down this road and you will come to Victoria Road. Turn right and continue a short distance until you join the High Street - the ground will be in front of you.

By Bus

Couldn't imagine why you would need to take a bus but if you do the number 20 is the one you'll need. It can be caught at the bus depot opposite the train station. It will cost you around £2 and take longer than if you were to walk.

By Taxi

Again - even if you're running a bit late for the match we would advise walking as it's just as quick and will save you money. For those who want to - taxi's run from outside the train station (or various points around town) and will cost you about £3 to £4 for the ride.

Local taxi firm Rushmoor Radio Taxi's can be reached on 01252 333 555.

Parking Your Car

Do not park on any grass verges or pavement areas on Ordnance Road. The local council traffic wardens will issue parking tickets (as per the highway code) and are especially active on days where there are bigger matches being played.

Parsons Barracks Car Park
This car park is right next to the ground in Ordnance Road. It offers limited parking (£1 for the whole day) but is usually full about an hour and a half before kick off.

Multi Story Car Park
The Multi Story is less than a five-minute walk away from the ground and is just as cheap as the one at Parsons Barracks. It's next to the town centre, opposite Burger King.

Other Car Parks
Of course there are several other car parks around the town and being a pretty drab town centre, you should be able to find a space at pretty much any one of them. If you're planning on going in to the town for a few drinks and need a bank or something to eat then the Multi Story is still your best option and would be less of a walk back to your car after the match.

Park and Ride
With Aldershot only being a small town, there are no "Park and Ride" facilities in the area. Just look at the car parks as being our very own version of "Park and Walk".

Other Options
There are areas along the High Street which allow free on-street parking but beware - some roads and areas operate with resident only parking permits - check for signs before leaving your car. The best solution is either of the two car parks mentioned above.
